Cannes FIFI exists to discover, celebrate and connect storytellers from different cultures, generations, backgrounds and abilities.
Through screenings, conversations, awards, masterclasses, mentorship and international encounters, we create meaningful opportunities for filmmakers while building a cinema community that is more accessible, inclusive and connected to the world.

OUR STORY
A Vision Born Across Borders
Cannes FIFI grew from years of international film-festival activity connecting filmmakers, actors, audiences and cultural communities across the United States, France, Africa and beyond.
As those relationships grew, so did the vision: what if these different worlds could meet through cinema?
That vision evolved into Cannes FIFI — an international meeting place where distinct cultures and festival communities come together while preserving their own identities.
Today, Cannes FIFI builds on six years of international experience and looks toward its third edition in Cannes in 2027, bringing together France USA, Africa USA, Latino USA and South Asia USA within one growing international family.

Cannes FIFI envisions cinema as a bridge between cultures — a place where filmmakers and audiences from different parts of the world can meet, exchange ideas and discover one another through stories.
Through our international festival family — France USA, Africa USA, Latino USA and South Asia USA — we are building connections that extend beyond a single screening, country or festival edition.
